Effective August 17, 2026
The short version. Be decent, post only what you have the right to post, and remember that public quotes are visible to everyone. You own your content. We can remove content or accounts that break these rules. The service is provided as-is.
These terms are an agreement between you and Unredundant, LLC ("we", "us") covering your use of MyQuoteboard, on the web and in our iOS app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use MyQuoteboard.
Who can use MyQuoteboard
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By signing up you confirm that you are. If you are under 13, you may not use the service, and we will delete any account we learn belongs to a child under that age.
Your account
- Provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep your password secure.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- Tell us promptly at privacy@myquoteboard.com if you think someone else is using it.
- One person, one account. Don't impersonate anyone else.
Your content
You own what you post. We don't claim ownership of your quotes, comments, or photos.
To run the service, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, and display your content — but only for the purpose of operating and improving MyQuoteboard, and only to the audience you chose for it. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups that age out on our normal schedule.
You are responsible for what you post. By posting, you confirm you have the right to share it, including the right to share words spoken by someone else.
Posting about other people
MyQuoteboard exists to record things other people said, so most content names someone who isn't you — often a child. That comes with real responsibility:
- Only post quotes you have permission to share.
- Take particular care with anything identifying a child. Use friends-only visibility for anything you wouldn't want a stranger to read.
- Don't post anyone's private information — contact details, addresses, workplaces, or anything else they'd expect to stay private.
- Don't tag people as speakers to harass them or misrepresent what they said.
If you appear in someone's quote and want it taken down, email privacy@myquoteboard.com. You don't need an account to ask.
Rules of use
Don't use MyQuoteboard to:
- Harass, bully, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
- Post hateful, violent, or sexually explicit content, or anything sexualising a minor.
- Post content that infringes someone else's copyright, privacy, or other rights.
- Break the law, or encourage anyone else to.
- Spam, scrape, or send automated traffic at the service.
- Probe, disrupt, or try to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
- Upload malware, or anything designed to damage the service or its users.
Moderation and termination
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we may stop providing the service. Where it's reasonable to do so, we'll tell you why. You can stop using MyQuoteboard and delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone.
Availability
We aim to keep MyQuoteboard running, but this is a small service. It may be unavailable during maintenance, and features may change or be removed. Please keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose — we're not a backup service.
Disclaimers
MyQuoteboard is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content posted by other users is accurate or lawful.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unredundant, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars.
Some states don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Apple
If you use our iOS app, you acknowledge that these terms are between you and Unredundant, LLC only, not Apple, and that Apple has no responsibility for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Arizona.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use MyQuoteboard after a change means you accept the updated terms.
